When safety lives in the model, capability and protection become opposing forces.

When a leading AI provider recently lost a major government contract, they weren't being difficult. They faced a structural impossibility: the safety constraints the client wanted removed weren't policy settings. They were embedded in the model weights. Remove them, and nothing remained to prevent misuse.

This is the trade-off every AI system faces today. Capability and protection compete for the same space. When you need more of one, you sacrifice the other.

Korda decouples them. Safety moves to the execution layer. The model operates without artificial constraint—nothing executes until Korda validates it against mandate.

Things that cannot be written.

By embedding safety at the grammar level, Korda AI makes entire categories of dangerous AI behaviour syntactically inexpressible — not filtered after the fact, but impossible to form in the first place.

An unbounded shell command that runs forever. The grammar requires timeout: on every exec. It cannot be forgotten.

These aren't hypotheticals. As autonomous agents take on more real-world tasks, the cost of unsafe behaviour grows. Korda AI makes the most dangerous patterns structurally impossible to express.
